15 amazing travel bloggers worth following, Bloggers Recognition Award

From adventurous stories at remote exotic locations to guides for popular tourist destinations, I gathered 15 amazing bloggers that worth taking a look. These are my nominees for Blogger Recognition Award!

What is a Blogger Recognition Award?

The recognition award is given to bloggers who made whose hard work has resulted in amazing content. Those who got nominated have to pass it to 15 other bloggers. Normally it is given to new, uprising blogs to give them more exposure and show appreciation for their efforts.

Besides the nominations, a blogger who got the award should tell a short story about his blog and give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.

Recently, I have received two Bloggers Recognition Awards, I would like to thank the bloggers: In My Heart and Madam Budget.  Now I am happy to do my part and nominate others.

The bloggers I have listed here are maybe not well known but are doing a fantastic job. If you are a reader, I am sure you would find many to follow. If you are a new blogger yourself, you would find a lot of inspiration and ways to improve your own blog.

Blogger Recognition Award, rules summary:

  1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and leave a link to their blog.
  2. Write a post to show your award.
  3. Give a brief story of how/why you started blogging.
  4. Give two pieces of advice you would give to brand new bloggers.

  6. Comment on each blog letting them know you have nominated them and giving the link to the post you have created.

About Engineer on tour

My first blog was a failure. Some people told me, that it would take a lot of time to develop your style, and they were right.

I started with quite a standard “things-to-do” guides and quickly got fed up with this. To create a good guide, you need to visit many places in one location. I found most of the tourist attractions quite boring to visit and disastrously annoying to write about. I gave up my blog and concentrated on travel photography instead.

When I was studying the biographies of some legendary photographers – I have found my inspiration. These people saw unique locations and world-changing events. I have restarted my blog, with the focus on travel photography and some photojournalism. Now I am looking for unusual events, places, and experiences. Please, let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions.

Two pieces of advice to new bloggers

1. Make it perfect! Everyone tells to do what you love to succeed. This is good, but I would go a step further. Do what you love and make it outstanding. If photography is your strongest point – invest in equipment and courses. If you love writing stories – develop the skill, until people cannot leave before they finished reading.

2. Fist lines of your blog are the most important. To read or not to read? How people make the decision? I think on the Internet there is so much content, that no one reads random things unless they very appealing. The featured image, heading, subheading, first lines of text define, wheater someone is going to read the post. Invest more time in them.

And finally the 15 bloggers!

Next, to each blog, I tell why I have chosen them.

The Wildest Tales

I just love the adventure travel and off beaten locations. This blog brings you to the places, you probably don’t have on your bucket list. It has nice and well-written stories. English and Polish languages.

Two Thrifty Travelers

This looks like a quite new blog, but they have already created a number of outstanding budget travel tips. This makes the upcoming content very promising!

Alla Ponomareva

Alla’s travel photography is outstanding! You may just pick up a destination and the photos would inspire you to visit! Texts are short and informative.

Curious Journeylist

All around, a very well done blog. I loved the reviews and travel tips in particular. A lot of beautiful images, a pleasure to look through.

Winds of travel

I liked this one. Normally, I read “What to do in a country/city” travel blogs only if I am going to visit there. For Winds of Travel, I have spent some time exploring. It is very well structured and easy to read, it even has some expense sheets. Worth taking a look for general information about countries as well for some travel tips. It focuses more on Asia and South America.

Nomad Souls

A nomad-style travel blog, that would show some interesting, quite unusual locations and stories. Beautiful photos, I really liked how they are processed.

Bitten by the bug

Interesting stories and photography. It all brings up the spirit of the places very well. Well-written posts, from remote locations like fields of Mongolia to guides to big European cities.

Irene Ferri

A blog with beautiful photography. It tells about things to do in some popular tourist cities and shows some interesting locations in detail. Also, check their photo gallery!

Where iz my boarding pass

Lovely new blog, unlike others, it has very interesting thoughts about traveling overall.

Heelstoheeledge

Interesting locations, good pieces of advice for travelers and beautiful photography. Everything that a good travel blog needs!

Moments of Yugen

This one has one of the best guides I have ever seen! You can download them as a PDF. For example, a guide for Barcelona is 50 pages accompanied by great travel images and useful information. If you go to any of locations they write about – download their guide and look through their blog.

Finns away

At the moment I looked at it, it was more about exploring Baltic countries and Eastern Europe. Interesting travel stories about the regions that are not well covered by other bloggers.

Time Travel Bee

Look at the design! One of the cutest things I have seen in travel blogging. It is a pleasure to explore a website like that. The blog features good travel tips and interesting locations. There is quite a lot of content!

ARW travels

Travel guides with some personal experiences and with a good amount of practical information. Definitely worth reading if you go to some of these locations. Written in English and Spanish.

The Adventures of Panda Bear

A very good personal look onto tourist destinations, more than you can find in a tour guide. For example the Iceland post. I have seen hundreds of posts describing similar things about Iceland, but from Panda Bear, I got to know something new.
