St. Petersburg is my lovely hometown! It has a special place in my heart. Even though I live in Finland, I come back to St. Petersburg every month to do all the things I miss. It is primarily about friends, food, and nightlife.
The atmosphere of St. Petersburg
St. Peterburg also has a unique atmosphere, which is a combination of many things. Closeness to Europe, a relaxed lifestyle, constantly changing weather, classic and a bit worn-out architecture. They all contribute a lot, but the main thing is people. They are very serious about fun, each time you go out you have new party friends.
It isn’t probably the most reliable place, especially if you compare it to stable Scandinavia. But, chaos a part of a reason St. Petersburg has its charm. It is a fun place to live, and nearby countries have nothing like it.
Museums and culture
Am I going to show all the architectural wonders and museums? I am not sure. The thing is, in St. Petersburg schools, we were taught to love the city. You have to visit all the main museums, theaters, etc., and then write an essay. After such treatment, as a kid, you stop to value all the beauty.
Because this topic is very well covered in other blogs, I am not sure that I will write about it. I prefer to focus on MY view of St. Petersburg. Nevertheless, a lot of time has passed from school, I start to re-discover this beauty again. I may make some posts, especially covering the most significant sights.
